Keeping Warm | Recipe Share

We’re originally from Michigan, where it gets very cold, so when all the news channels here started putting out warnings about an ‘arctic air mass’ coming in we kind of chuckled.  As the day went on though it did quickly cool down so I decided it was the perfect evening for some soup.  What better way to stay warm then by warming our bellies.  Since it was a hit with my family here’s the recipe for some warm winter soup.


Savory Vegetable Beef Soup

  • Chop (1) Onion and Chop (2) Cloves of Garlic- Brown in Pan with the Ground Beef
  • (2) whole carrots chopped
  • (2) celery stalks chopped
  • (3) Red Potatoes chopped
  • (1) can v8
  • (1) 28oz can diced tomatoes
  • (1) cup frozen green beans
  • (1/2) cup Beef Broth
  • (1) TBSP Parsley
  • (1) tsp Basil
  • 1/2 tsp Thyme
  • (1/2) tsp salt
  • (1/2) tsp pepper

–  Place in Crockpot with 1.5 cups of water and 15 oz Beef Broth. Cook on LOW 8 Hours.
